Description: THETA is a well-established and fast-growing cryptocurrency with a dedicated team working on developing its blockchain, functionality, infrastructure, and wallets. The THETA Token Wallet is the official Mainnet wallet designed and operated by the THETA project. The wallet interface is easy to use and understand and takes only a few moments to set up and interact with the THETA blockchain. There is also future updates and functionality planned for the future and user can stake THETA from within this wallet.

Step 1 – Create a Wallet

Navigate to the THETA Token official website by clicking here and select Wallet.

This will bring to the THETA Token Wallet page where you can create and access your THETA Wallet.

If you have already created a THETA wallet you can log in and unlock your wallet via the available options found at the top. These are Keystore file, Mnemonic Phrase, Private Key or via Hardware such as a Ledger or Trezor devices.

Click Create Wallet at the bottom to begin setting up your THETA Wallet.

Step 2 – Save your Keystore File and Set a Password 

Set a password for your new THETA Wallet making sure it is memorable or you have written it down.

It is important to make sure you remember the password as without it you risk losing access to your crypto assets.

When you have entered the details and acknowledged the security message continue by clicking Download Keystore.

Save the downloaded Keystore File and make sure it is kept in a safe location. It is also recommended to create an additional copy of this file as a backup to be kept on a different device.

Step 3 – Record Mnemonic Phrase (Wallet Backup)

The wallets Mnemonic Phrase will be shown on screen and consists of 12 Recovery Words linked to the new wallet and set password.

You will need to record this information and keep it safe, do not share this information with anyone.

This will not be shown again so make sure you have a recorded the information before pressing continue.

Once you have made note of your Mnemonic Phrase and the 12 Recovery words click Continue and Unlock the wallet.

Step 4: Log into your THETA Wallet

Using your Keystore File and Password Unlock your THETA wallet via the official THETA Wallet page. This can also be found by clicking here.

Once logged your wallet will be displayed and is fully functional and integrated with the THETA blockchain. You can Send, Receive or Stake THETA within the wallet.

To locate your THETA Wallet Address click Receive, this will display a pop up containing your Public Address.

This is the information required to receive THETA to your wallet. Make note of this information and click the Copy, you are now ready to send THETA to this wallet address.

Step 5 – Buy and Send THETA to your Wallet

If you have not yet registered an account, please click here and follow the steps. Once logged in you will be able to place an order to Buy THETA on the Buy Coins page.

THETA is supported with GBP and EUR payments via Bank Transfer or Debit/Credit card payments. THETA Fuel (TFUEL) is also supported and available via our platform. 

To place an order to Buy Theta follow the steps outlined below.

1. Select THETA as the coin from the drop-down menu.
2. Choose your payment method, Bank Transfer or via Debit/Credit card.
3. Provide us with your THETA Wallet Address by pasting it into the Wallet Address field.

Please ensure you double-check your order and wallet information before submitting the order.

We check all wallet addresses are valid on the blockchain before sending coins. If you are still unsure, please contact us and we will assist you.

• Good security and the wallet was produced by THETA Labs directly.

Disadvantages:

• Unable to view Mnemonic Phrase after setting up the wallet.
• Compatible with THETA and TFUEL but currently no decentralised file sharing features available.
• There aren’t any 2-factor authentication features.
