What is Chiliz (CHZ)

After three years in design, Chiliz (CHZ) was launched in 2018 as an ERC-20 token hosted on the Ethereum network. The Malta based Chiliz (CHZ) is a cryptocurrency utility token for blockchain-backed products and services geared towards the competitive online space for sporting and e-sporting user fanbases.

The protocol enables the minting of tokens for a respective Sporting or E-Sport association, which are then valued on their native Chiliz Exchange. The marketplace will then facilitate the trade of the Fan tokens for Chiliz which will hold a respective dollar value. The valuation of the tokens will fluctuate on multiple factors, including the organisations perceived success, interest, demand and the price of Chiliz (CHZ).

Roadmap

The Chiliz team has plans to appeal to more organisations even after capturing industry leaders in European football, there are plenty more partnerships to be formed in the sporting and e-sporting world that will only widen Chiliz (CHZ) appeal and popularity.

H2 - 2021

Expansion into the world of international football has already gone underway, with Argentina becoming the first national team to collaborate with Chiliz, recently hosting a Fan Token Offering (FTO) for $ARG at $2 capturing a team featuring Lionel Messi who is the 2nd highest-paid athlete of 2021.
