In association with the French business school HEC Paris, L'Oréal and Meta will shortly create a startup acceleration program with an emphasis on creativity in the metaverse.
At least five firms with a focus on 3D creation, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), mixed reality, avatar creation, user experience portability, token economy, and other Web3 and metaverse-related issues will be funded as part of the program. They don't have to be specifically connected to the beauty sector, though.
Asmita Dubey, the Chief Digital and Marketing Officer at L'Oréal, stated that the impending project would bring a lot of young talent together. She added that L'Oréal's DMI (international marketing direction) will gain creativity from this new project, and the company is eager to capitalize on it.
We are happy to associate ourselves with L'Oréal thanks to this ambitious project, which aims to help the French startup ecosystem and will be crucial in the development of a shared, creative, and inclusive metaverse, said Laurent Solly, vice president of Meta for Southern Europe.
The Meta space of Station in Paris's 13th arrondissement, which bills itself as the largest startup campus in the world, will serve as the accelerator's headquarters of operations. The application process ends on November 20th; a jury comprised of Meta, L'Oréal, and HEC members, as well as entrepreneurs and investors, will select the firms in December; and the program will begin in January and run through June 2023.
